MASTERPLAN BRIEF
A proposal to offer jobs to the locals would be that when businesses are looking to hire, they first should let all locals, whether through a website or just advertising locally, know about the jobs. If there is no fit, to then look outside of the area for staff. This will help to create motivation within the community to get jobs, as well as be eco friendly as there will be a short commute through either walking or cycling.

Have a community center to be able to open up spaces for a range of uses and users, whilst being able to provide a social space. The area will also be able to offer training for skills, to help local people gain more skills to help them gain access to jobs and create a better-quality life for themselves. A case study of a community centre that has been very successful is the Firstenburg community centre. The centre has pools and gyms as well as spaces for community meets and groups. As well as performance spaces to put on shows and neighbourhood fairs. A community centre similar to this placed in the Royal Docks would be a great space for residents to come together and learn and do recreational activities, that everyone will be able to use.

In the site, allotments will be provided for the locals to encourage outdoor time, a place to learn new skills and meet new people. Whilst, incorporating more green open space to the area. The community can have the opportunity to buy the allotments. To increase the value of the area and interest from perspective residents. There should be main allotments that can be charity run for community use. To help create engagement to the area and community bonding.

An area of open space should be left for activities to take place. Wether this is a sporting/music club, a place for the community to gather, community fates or for markets and stalls. This will be important for the community to have to be able to use to hold events and express themselves as they choose to do so. From having this space it can allow for the community to become closer. This space will help to create a physical link between the site and the community.

A community foundation should not be set up until the site is completely finished with residents and businesses being fully moved into and set up in the area. This will allow new residents in the area to get to know each other and begin to start to get to know each other. This will mean that when the community foundation is set up, the community will begin to already feel like they are a part of something and will be more interested in helping the cause.
